CEI Inspections
CPC provides Construction Engineering & Inspection, (CEI) Services to both public and private clients from Miami-Dade through the Treasure Coast and has been responsible for over $150 million in road and bridge construction during this time. CPC is currently providing services to the Florida Department of Transportation in Miami-Dade (District 6), Broward County (District 4), Treasure Coast (District 4) and the City of Hialeah in Miami-Dade County and maintains multiple field offices to provide these services. CPC has provided roadway and bridge services in the areas of total contract administration, scheduling, concrete testing, asphalt testing, density testing, environmental compliance, constructability reviews, claims avoidance techniques and analysis, and contractor quality control.

I-75 Alligator Alley Recreational Areas
Client: Florida Dept. of Transportation, District 4
This project involved major improvements to four (4) recreational facilities located along scenic Alligator Alley,
Interstate I-75. The work involved was extensive embankment, construction of boat ramps, floating docks, picnic
pavilions, drainage, and landscaping.
Sunset Islands Bridge Repairs/ Rehabilitation, Miami Beach
Client: Florida Dept. of Transportation, District 6
The project featured the rehabilitation of the1929 Venetian style historical bridges (Sunset Dr. and W. 29th St.
Bridges, Miami Beach) involving the reconstructing of architectural balustrades, spall repairs, cathodic protection,
seawalls, and gatehouse.
District Wide Constructability Review Consultant
Client: Florida Dept. of Transportation, District 6
CPC has been working with the District’s Plans Review section since 1999 and have reviewed over one hundred
projects in the District.
SR 811, Alternate A1A, from Gardens Blvd. To N. of Donald Ross Rd.
Client: WCI Communities, Divosta & Co.
This project involves improvements to Alt. A1A including widening, drainage systems, etc.
District CEI Residency Consultant
Client: Florida Dept. of Transportation, District 6
This project involves the oversight and management of a 5-yr Consultant CEI Super Residency contract
consisting of multiple simultaneous FDOT construction projects in Miami-Dade County. CPC managed over 100
projects during this contract. Major projects under this contract include (1) the Verona Bridge Reconstruction in
Golden Beach which included the complete reconstruction / replacement of a new bridge. This project included 2
JPAs and a VECP; (2) William Lehman flyover and fixed span over intercoastal which included reinforcement
repair, pile repair, painting & fender replacement; (3) 79th Street bascule project which includes replacement of
both leafs, new motors, full electrical, sub cable replacement, painting etc.; (4) Palmetto Beam repair project
which included strand splicing and reinforcement repair (5) Miami River Dredge project which involved the
replacement of subcables and new electrical at 5 bascule bridges on the Miami River.
SR 826 (Palmetto Expressway) at NW 36th Street
Client: Florida Dept. of Transportation, District 6
CPC was a subconsultant to Network Engineering Services for inspection services on this project. Project
involved reconstruction of the Palmetto interchange at NW 36th St.
SR A1A (Ocean Drive) from Dania Bch Blvd to Sheridan St
Client: Florida Dept. of Transportation, District 4
This $7.5 million project involved the complete reconstruction of A1A raising the profile grade by 18”. Extensive
flooding in this area was mitigated with this reconstruction. Project also included decorative lighting, Value
Engineering changes, seawall reconstruction, tidal flood gates, and extensive drainage. This project was
completed 156 days ahead of schedule and has been selected for consideration for the 2009 FTBA best in

CEI Awards
US 27, Sheridan St. to Palm Beach County Line
This project was selected as the 1997 Florida Transportation Builders Assoc. (FTBA) / FDOT “Outstanding
Rural Project”. The project consisted of 104 lane miles of milling & resurfacing completed with zero straight
edge deficiencies.
SR A1A, Bougainvillea Terr. to Sheridan St., Hollywood
This project received the 2000 Florida Transportation Builders Assoc. (FTBA) / FDOT “Outstanding Urban
Project” and an FDOT Team Achievement Award and was completed 110 days ahead of schedule.
SR A1A, Pine Ave. to SE 12th St.
This project received the 2001 Florida Transportation Builders Assoc. (FTBA) / FDOT “Outstanding Urban
Project” and an FDOT Team Achievement Award and involved milling, resurfacing, signalization, and drainage.
The project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule. CPC was also awarded the 2001 NAPA
Quality in Asphalt Award.
Andrews Ave. Extension from N. of RR bridge to NW 18th St., Broward
This project involved a completely new section of the Andrews Ave. expansion in Broward County with a new
AASHTO beam bridge. Project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule and received the 2003
FTBA “ Best in Construction Award”
